UC Browser Is Ready to Open Representative Office in Indonesia this Year
Chinese mobile browser Tiongkok UC Browser is ready to make their presence count by partnering with local content providers in Indonesia. The scheme comes along with listening to the need and complaints of its customers whose amount steadily grows. The company is also ready to open a representative office in Indonesia.
“Fulfilling our customers’ demand has always been our first priority. For the Indonesian market, for instance, as Facebook is a popular social media here, we present a feature which accelerates accesses to the site through our own cloud computing-based accelerator,” said UC Browser’s Country Manager of Indonesian Market Jonathan Zhong in his interview with DailySocial.
Basically, the behavior of Indonesians is similiar to mobile browser users’ around the world. They tend to be active after 7 PM, especially on Monday in which the data traffic reaches its peak. According to an info by StatCounter, UC Browser hit the third position as the most popular mobile browser among Indonesians.
Zhong added that UC Browser’s marketshare in Indonesia went up from 7% to nearly 20% during 2014. Riding on the momentum, he admitted that the team would look at the possibility of deepening their product localization and their local team, as well as partnerinf with local content providers all over Indonesia.
So far, UC Browser has had 100 mill active users per day who come from every part of the world. By establishing partnership with Indonesian content providers, Zhong, on behalf of UC Browser, expected that his team could build an ecosystem that profits every related entity.
One of the examples of this comes along in UC Browser’s partnership with Liputan6.com. Liputan6.com presents quality content for UC Browser’s users, and UC Browser provides Liputan6.com a platform which is connected to all UC Browser’s users as a reward.
“Currently, we have gathered ten employees who focus on Indonesian market, and three of them are Indonesian citizens. We keep looking for local human resources to help us establishing a representative office in Indonesia this year,” Zhong concluded.
