Wiku Baskoro Departs DailySocial

As some of you may have read on Twitter, Wiku has now left the building. DailySocial's now former chief editor announced his resignation earlier today after three years with the blog and a year and a half as its chief editor. He took DailySocial from a casual technology blog run by Rama Mamuaya into a significant industry player reporting various announcements, news, and developments about technology startup companies, the mobile ecosystem, and the general growth of technology innovations, adoption, and achievements in Indonesia

Under his leadership, DailySocial also grew from a single site into three separate blogs, an Indonesian site, an English site, and a Tumblr blog. The growth of the blog over the last three years has been amazing and it simply couldn't have been done without Wiku at the helm.

As I wrote in my April fool's post last year, Wiku has been "a one man publishing machine". Though he did not post as frequently anymore in recent months, he's been very active behind the scene organizing blog posts, columns, translations, as well as seeking much needed new writers for DailySocial (we are still selecting candidates by the way).

Wiku has told me that he will be heading up another project effective immediately, one which he will announce separately, and I look forward to seeing very soon. In his place, I have been appointed the new chief editor of DailySocial.

In closing, I would like to thank Wiku for his time and dedication to DailySocial and I'm looking forward to take DailySocial even further.
