Bukalapak Team Up with BRI to Extend Banking Facility

Provide opportunity in credit facility for merchant, BRI link agents ready to support Bukalapak's transaction payment channel

Bukalapak is officially partnered with BRI in expanding banking facility to sellers and users. Services for Bukalapak consists of Briva Online, CMC payment priority, E-pay, WS Overbooking and notification, and several other banking services.
Briva is BRI virtual account that can be used for transaction in BRI network ad other bank ATM. E-pay is a tool for online transaction using BRI internet banking.
Not the least, a number of BRI Link agents, that have reached 142,000, are ready to be empowered as offline transaction channel in Bukalapak's platform. BRI also creates opportunity for work-seeding credit facility and bailouts for sellers.
In its initial target, BRI sets to distribute credit to 10% of the total Bukalapak's sellers or 200,000 sellers.
All those facilities are expected to be able to reach and give broader banking access for stable business and easier transaction to 13 million users and 2 million sellers in Indonesia.
"The partnership is considered strategic because either Bukalapak or BRI has same business core, it's enterprise," Sis Apik Wijayanto, BRI's Institutional Director, said on Tuesday (11/28).
Achmad Zaky, Bukalapak's CEO added, easier financial access expected to help people run their business. In addition, enterprisers are expected to develop their business through digital platform, especially Bukalapak as online marketplace and use digital financial services.
"By partnering with BRI, we expect to help many sellers in financing to keep growing. For BRI, if there is any enterprisers in offline store, Bukalapak will ask them to join the marketplace. We can teach them about online store, there are teachers ready to educate in 200 cities across Indonesia," Zaky said.
