Cupslice Prepares Freemium Business Model
Cupslice photo editing service is one of candidates to perform in the second batch of Ideabox Demo Day. Responding such event, Cupslice has prepared Cupslice 2.0 and Cupslice Cafe premium subscription concept. The service is claimed to have already had 400 thousand downloads and eight thousand reviews, in which five thousand of them are labeled as “five star review” by Google Play Store.
Basically, Cupslice is similar to Instagram or PicMix which let users giving their artistic touch on photos they take. Cupslice’s CEO Abdur Rabbi Arrasul Sayaf (Aif for short) added that their app gets more than one thousand downloads in a day. The team have as well released the latest version of Cupslice with optimized performance and friendly look.
“Cupslice has launched ‘Cupslice Version 2.0’ with a whole different user interface. Besides being user-friendlier, we let users modifying every filter and effect that we provide. Regarding the engine, we have upgraded our capability to enable users editing photos in no time, nearly without any loading moment,” Aif said.
As for the Ideabox Demo Day, Aif revealed that Cupslice has new features that offer location-based content to users. The team develop “Cupslice Cafe”, a simple marketplace that offers the best 50 downloadable stickers and frames to users. Cupslice Cafe will keep getting upgraded based on the ongoing trend among local residents.
“Our business model is freemium subscription. Premium users may subscribe at Cupslice Cafe and download all stickers available without any additional cost. They only need to pay the monthly subscription cost,” Aif explained their business model.
At the moment, Cupslice is only available on Android. Aif argued, “We have yet released the iOS version, but some foreigners hacked our brand and logo for their app which is available at the App Store. It’s a premium service, but its content and ours are poles apart.”
