MyRepublic Enters Indonesian ISP Competition

MyRepublic, Singapore's Internet provider that already created hypes, expands its services to Indonesia. Initially reported by e27, MyRepublic has been available in a number of cities in Indonesia and provided Indonesian site. The rate it offers is quite fantastic, compared to competitors in the country.

MyRepublic has hit Singapore with super affordable fiber-based internet services. This is what the provider attempts to bring to cities in DKI Jakarta, Banten, West Java, Central Java, East Java, and South Sumatera. You can check the availability of the service here.

Just look at the Nova package offered by MyRepublic. To get up to 100 Mbps of download speed, customers only need to pay Rp 299 thousand per month. For the same speed, First Media or IndiHome offer it at higher rate. The most expensive package available, Supernova, only charges Rp 899 thousand per month for 300 Mbps of bandwidth.

This decision of MyRepublic to enter Indonesia isn’t an irrational one. Sinarmas Group has invested Rp 40 billion to MyRepublic via its subsidiary, DSSA. Beside Indonesia, MyRepublic has also been available in New Zealand. Let’s see how the local ISPs respond to this new “invasion”.
