Grab Releases Hotel Reservation Feature with Agoda

Grab has released hotel reservation feature with Agoda. It is currently limited to platinum and gold users. This is a tile version, with some of Grab's top feature, such as Ride, Car, Food, and Videos.

Currently, Grab only provides booking from Agoda. Reservation through Booking.com, Agoda's sister company, is said to be available soon.

The UI/UX display is similar to the Agoda website interface. Payment system can be through debit/credit from local and international networks, PayPal, or merchants like Indomaret or Alfamart. There is no mention of Ovo to be integrated with this feature.

Previously, Grab has mentioned this feature since last year along with the health feature post strategic funding. Grab has received strategic investment of US$200 million from Booking Holdings, Agoda's parent company in October 2018.

The next step, Grab is to release some additional value through GrabRewards, such as discount for reservation through Agoda and Booking.com for platinum and gold accounts.

Another Grab's new feature is bus ticket and cinema reservation. The latest one is with BookMyShow. Yesterday (5/9), Grab has just released a trial for electric scooter GrabWheels with Sinar Mas Land in BSD City.

Grab's competitor, Gojek, also released hotel booking feature called Go-Travel with Tiket.com and Reddorz.
