Job Forward Officially Enters Indonesia

A couple of times ago, Singapore-based Job Forward told DailySocial that they were preparing to enter Indonesia. This was finally realized after the startup officially enabled its services in Indonesia.

Job Forward is, basically, a platform or service that enables companies posting their job vacancies to later be found by registered job seekers. There is a unique mechanism that makes Job Forward not your ordinary job vacancies marketplace. It optimizes social media to distribute the vacancies, so that more people can reach out to them, not only the active ones, but also the passive ones as well.

This share post system initially differentiates Job Forward from any other job marketplace. The active job seekers may share to the passive seekers through their social media account. As a reward to those who share vacancies, Job Forward Indonesia guarantees Rp 5000 of reward to be given.

Indonesia is Job Forward’s second country in which Job Forward operates. Yoshiaki Ieda, Job Forward’s CEO, revealed the very reason why Job Forward finally decided to enter Indonesia. According to him, Indonesia is the most potential market, compared to other countries in Southeast Asia.

“Before we came to Indonesia, we provided prototypes and test them in seven countries like Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, the Philippines, and India, and it turned out that Indonesian market was the most promising of all. We assumed that this was because the high level of Indonesians’ involvement in social media,” Ieda said.

Job Forward specifically eyes for startups to be its main service’s segment. Its presence in Indonesia is based on the spirit to contribute in Indonesian startup industry by providing a platform that connects job seekers to startups.

Further, Ieda explained that Job Forward Indonesia is basically connected to Job Forward Singapore, but it would be set specifically according to Indonesian market. One of the specialization it serves is the payment method for companies that post vacancies on the platform. Job Forward Singapore applies Pay-per-hiring, while Job Forward Indonesia applies Pay-per-post, Featured, or Subscription (still being researched).
