NgaturDuit Develops via Twitter Notification

New innovation from NgaturDuit after integration for mutual funds product and adding new financial consultants as partners, is notification via Twitter. Information is directly sent to user's Direct Message systematically without admin or customer service.

At the moment, notification will be sent if you are nearing (or over) your budget that you set on your NgaturDuit account based on certain critical points. You can choose to activate this notification or not. In the future, tips or advices and other notifications will be added as well.

Api Perdana as Ngatur Duit's CEO explained why the choose to use Twitter to notify their users, he said they've been wanting to provide customized financial information or tips. The main point is they want to add more values for their users. And since it is related to financial, of course it will be a personal issue. Other than email, Twitter is the most other logical mean of communication because it has Direct Message feature where public can't read. There's a tendency that mobile people nowadays (especially in big cities, as the main market share of Ngatur Duit) always keep their Twitter account active.

Using Twitter to interact systematically for Indonesian startups seems to be one of  mainstay features. PriceArea and Telunjuk is one of many products that use Twitter API as value added service.

So how do we use it? Very easy. First, fill out your Twitter account name in profile column and the second one is to follow @ngaturduit. This is based on the fact that DMs can only be sent if you both follow each other's account. Although it may look simple, this feature can be very useful for NgaturDuit users to be reminded of their financial condition.

On this minor development, Api said that they are still learning to optimize utilizing available technology. They can immediately release this new development because:

1. Users will not be surprised by huge changes
2. Developer gets valuable input from users before they lost track (if the development leads to wrong path)

According to Api, in the near future NgaturDuit will add more and bigger features. What will it be, we 'll just have to wait and see.
