Warung Pintar Expands to Banyuwangi
Partners with Banyuwangi regency, Warung Pintar has opened 101 kiosks a month before official launch
Warung Pintar announces its expansion to Banyuwangi. It is due to a similar vision between Warung Pintar and Banyuwangi regency to maximize micro business and tourism sector using technology.
Warung Pintar had established since November 2017. Entering the second year, Warung Pintar initiated various strategies for business development, such as acquiring Limakilo and expansion to new area.
Due to Banyuwangi regency's transparency and the will to have better economy, Warung Pintar has opened 101 kiosks a month before launch, equipped with its services. Banyuwangi regency shows its support by forming special regulation to give opportunity for the owners to open kiosk in the government-owned public facility.
"In 2020, we're confident that Banyuwangi's economy will grow at 5.5 - 5.7 percent, above the national prediction at 5.1 - 5.5 percent. This has proven that the government understand public's capacity and make an effort to realize it. The regency also bite this opportunity, for the first time, partners with startup, Warung Pintar," Banyuwangi's Regent, Abdullah Azwar Anas said.
In order to achieve the economy growth , Warung Pintar and Banyuwangi regency are to apply the hyperlocal strategy as local SMEs empowerment, such as coffee, dried banana, cassava chips, and other products in Warung Pintar Banyuwangi," Warung Pintar's Co-Founder and COO , Harya Putra.
Along within this partnership, the regency has held some events with Warung Pintar, such as Festival Juragan Pintar and Hackathon Pintar competition last March.
Warung Pintar is currently has more than 1,200 kiosks in Jakarta. The arrival in Banyuwangi marks their step to expand its business and connect more kiosks.
