Not Yet Monetizing, GrabTaxi Claims Consistently Pay Driver's Income Tax

Within his statement a couple of days ago GrabTaxi’s Head of Marketing Kiki Rizky, representing GrabTaxi, contended that her team pay the tax. Well, it turns out the tax she said referred to the monthly income tax of GrabTaxi’s partners. Regarding the company tax, Rizki claimed that they are ready to pay once they have made the money flow positive. Currently it's yet to monetize.

As reported by Detik (20/6), GrabTaxi’s commitment to keep focusing on creating secure and convenient commuter experience to the people of Indonesia is shown by paying the tax. Since the company hasn’t secured any profit, GrabTaxi claimed that it pays its partner’s drivers’ income tax according to their income and family status.

“Basically we haven’t had any income. It’s drivers who seal the money. So what we employ here is the ‘on the behavior’ tax or paying the tax to the drivers,” said Rizky.

Having officially run under the name of PT Grab Taxi Indonesia for a year, the prosperity of partnering drivers and customers is their main priority, as it’s mentioned in their vision, which is to present much better experience of transportation.

As the sixth country in Southeast Asia in which GrabTaxi operates, Indonesia possesses a clearly more promising market than any other neighboring countries. This is responded by the launching of products which are adjusted to the condition of transportation in Indonesia, such as GrabCar and GrabBike.

“From this moment on, we expect to keep being a part of secure, convenient, and reliable transportation solution in Indonesia,” Rizky stated during GrabTaxi’s first anniversary celebration, as being cited from Liputan6.

Using the momentum, the team do promo to celebrate their first anniversary in Jakarta, Surabaya, and Bandung. The promo contains a discount worth Rp 48.800 for every transaction through GrabTaxi app using the “GRABGRATIS” promo code. The promo can only be used today, June 22, 2015.

“This is how we express our gratitude to the citizens of Indonesia who’ve been very supportive. We want to share out joy in our anniversary celebration. You better not miss it,” she ended.
