Ronny Sugiadha is Kaskus' New Chief Marketing Officer
Amir Karimuddin - 3 December 2014
We have just received an information stating that Ronny Sugiadha is appointed as Kaskus’ new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), replacing Danny Wirianto. Sugiadha is currently the Indonesia Digital Association (IDA) Vice Chairman and Okezone’s Managing Director.
Since Sukan Makmuri was appointed as Kaskus’ CEO one year ago, the company has yet indeed made any significant business maneuver. Thus, Sugiadha’s involvement in Kaskus is expected to be something big, as he is believed to be able to contribute fresh ideas to Kaskus.
The previous CMO, Danny Wirianto, once took an extreme decision to disable the popular BB17 forum. Surprisingly, the action led Kaskus to be the largest community forum in Indonesia. Wirianto himself is now the GDP Ventures’ CMO. GDP Ventures is an investment company which controls the majority of Kaskus’ shares.
As per this year, Kaskus, which celebrates its fifteenth anniversary, has gathered around 7,8 million members and still counting. Let’s just wait for surprises and wonderment that Sugiadha will soon present.
