The search for outstanding talents in tech is everywhere. One of the most effective ways to find such talent is by holding Hackathon, and event where attendees are expected to develop an app in limited amount of time.
In Indonesia, this event type has been presented by many organizers, from HACKJACK to IWIC Hackathon, Hackathon Indigo BestApp ID, and many more. DBS takes part in promoting it by presenting DBS Hackathon Jakarta, which challenges local developers to come with their brightest ideas.
DBS Hackathon is one of series of events that DBS has organized in Asia. After successfully holding the same event back in 2014, DBS partners with Ideatory, a business management consultant which specializes in data science, to present DBS Hackathon 2015. Prior coming to Indonesia, DBS Hackathon has been held in various countries, including Singapore and Hongkong.
In Indonesia, DBS Hackathon will be held for three days, from November 9 to 11, at Ciputra World 1, Jakarta. The attending participants will be challenged to solve real-life problems using their own web/mobile app prototyping.
They will also gain the opportunity to learn the concept of Design Thinking, Human Centered Design, and Lean Startup Principles. In addition, they will also get the opportunity of expanding their network. DBS is also open for sustainable partnership with participants.
DBS will search for eight teams to participate in the event. There should be a digital developer (iOS/Android/Web front-end) and a UI/UX designer. In case you’re not with any team, the committee will search one for you.
In DBS Hackathon Jakarta, the panel of judges will consist of senior managers at DBS Indonesia. David Beath of DBS Singapore will also be there as a mentor.
DBS prepares Rp 160 million in total for winners. The first winner will receive Rp 40 million, second winner may secure Rp 25 million, and the third winner will get Rp 15 million. Interestingly, every participating team will get Ro 10 million each, as long as they meet the set terms and conditions.
The registration for DBS Hackathon Indonesia will end on this coming October 25, 2015. You may visit this link to register yourself and get more information about the event.
